Der gemeinnützige Förderverein Bürgerschloss Bredeneek e. V. wurde 2008 als Stiftung Bürgerschloss Bredeneek e. V. gegründet (Umbenennung 2019) und verfolgt Satzungsziele auf den Gebieten Denkmalpflege, Bürgerbeteiligung und Bildung (Nachhaltigkeit, Vernetztes Denken und Demokratie). Da der Förderverein über keine eigene Infrastruktur (z.B. Räumlichkeiten) verfügt und ehrenamtlich geführt wird, treffen viele Schritte (BoB-Score) nicht auf den Verein zu.
