Just 1 Ocean Diver e.V. – Gemeinsam für den Schutz unserer Meere Der Just 1 Ocean Diver e.V. setzt sich leidenschaftlich für den Schutz, den Erhalt und die Renaturierung maritimer Ökosysteme ein. Als gemeinnütziger Verein verbinden wir aktiven Umweltschutz mit praktischem Taucheinsatz, wissenschaftlicher Zusammenarbeit und Bildungsarbeit, um den kollabierenden Unterwasserlebensräumen eine Zukunft zu geben. Unser Herzensprojekt: Die Wiederaufforstung von Seegraswiesen in der Ostsee Seegraswiesen sind die „grünen Lungen“ unserer Meere – sie speichern bis zu 35-mal schneller Kohlenstoff als tropische Regenwälder, bieten zahllosen Meeresbewohnern Schutz sowie Aufzuchtgebiete und stabilisieren den Meeresboden. Doch in der Ostsee sind riesige Flächen dieser kritischen Ökosysteme durch Eutrophierung, Erwärmung und menschliche Einflüsse verloren gegangen. Hier setzt unser Seegras-Projekt an: Aktive Renaturierung: Unsere ausgebildeten Forschungstaucherinnen und -taucher pflanzen Seegrassamlinge und -stecklinge auf geschädigten Flächen in der Ostsee an, um verloren gegangene Wiesen systematisch zu rekonstruieren. Wissenschaftliches Monitoring: Wir begleiten das Wachstum und die Entwicklung der Flächen durch regelmäßige Tauchgänge, erfassen Umweltparameter und sichern so die Nachhaltigkeit der Wiederaufforstung. Netzwerk & Bildung: Wir schaffen Bewusstsein für die enorme Bedeutung des Ostsee-Seegrases durch Öffentlichkeitsarbeit, Schulkooperationen und Mitmach-Aktionen. Warum Best-Of-Baltic? Die Ostsee ist ein einzigartiges, aber stark gefährdetes Binnenmeer. Als Just 1 Ocean Diver e.V. möchten wir über die Plattform Best-Of-Baltic Kräfte bündeln, uns mit Gleichgesinnten vernetzen und Förderer sowie Freitaucher, Gerätetaucher und Helfer gewinnen, die gemeinsam mit uns die Unterwasserwelt der Ostsee aktiv wiederaufbauen.
